5th meeting of the 4 per 1000 Initiative

As expected, the 4 per 1000 Initiative held its 5th annual meeting in Glasgow on 10 November to coincide with COP26. The main subject for discussion is a strategic plan up to 2050.

“The goals of the 2050 Strategic Plan of the “4 per 1000” Initiative are more relevant than ever for this unique multi-stakeholder partnership in the field of food security and climate change, that brings together nearly 650 members and partners (countries, international organizations, research and educational institutions, agricultural and forestry producers, non-governmental organizations, businesses, etc.).

After the adoption of its strategic plan for 2020, and six years after its creation, the “4 per 1000″ Initiative will present its Strategic Plan designed to implement the strategic plan from an operational point of view until 2050.The Initiative is starting a phase of implementation and concrete achievements on the ground with the collaboration of its members, partners and supporters.”

The fifth annual meeting of the “4 per 1000” Initiative will still be held in a mixed in-person and online format on the morning of November 10 for the Forum of Partners (consultative and discussion body) and in the afternoon for the Consortium of Members (decision-making body).

The Partners’ Forum will be opened by a High-Level Segment when personalities representing Members and Partners will be invited to take the floor to present their activities and their vision for the implementation of the Initiative’s Strategic Plan.

The general theme of this “4 per 1000” day will be “the mobilization of actors (partners, members and supporters of the Initiative) through multi-stakeholder coalitions for the implementation of the 2050 Strategic Plan and its action plan”.
